Fantasy Analysis
Young hit a career-high .338 during the regular season with 11 home runs and 106 RBI. Given his versatility, his ability to hit .300 year after year and his doubles power, Young will be worth drafting as early as the fifth or sixth round in 2012. (Updated 10/23/2011).

Michael Young changed positions yet again for the Rangers last season but it did not affect his offense in the slightest. After Texas signed Adrian Beltre in the offseason, Young saw most of his playing time at DH, among other spots on the infield. He batted .323 with 59 RBI and a .482 slugging percentage in the first half and earned a trip to his seventh All-Star game. He stayed hot down the stretch and ended up with a career-high .338 average with 11 home runs and 106 RBI. It was the second 100-RBI campaign of his career and he also recorded more than 200 hits for the first time since 2007. The 35-year-old will have a ton of eligibility in Fantasy in 2012 and should be able to continue to drive in runs while hitting for a solid average. Even though his power has dropped each of the last two seasons, Young should be gone by the middle rounds of mixed leagues on Draft Day. (Updated 2/9/12)
