| Giants re-sign Ramon Ramirez to minor-league contract |

(3/28/13) The Giants have re-signed pitcher Ramon Ramirez to a minor-league contract. He will begin the season at Triple-A Fresno. Ramirez was released by the Giants March 22 after allowing 10 earned runs in eight innings this spring. The 31-year-old right-hander will serve as bullpen depth in the minors.

(3/22/13) The Giants continued to shape their roster by releasing infielder Wilson Valdez and relief pitcher Ramon Ramirez on Friday. Both players were competing for a spot on the opening day roster, but struggled during Cactus League play.
