| Baltimore's Daniel McCutchen suspended 50 games |

(4/6/13) Orioles minor-league pitcher Daniel McCutchen has been suspended for 50 games without pay after violating the league's drug policy, reports MLB.com Saturday.
The suspension begins immediatley.
McCutchen, formerly of the Pirates, switched to pitching sidearm this spring. He is playing with Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles' organization this season and was 1-0 with a 6.14 ERA over 7 1/3 innings this spring.

(3/23/13) The Baltimore Orioles cut relief pitcher Daniel McCutchen on Saturday. McCutchen was reassigned to minor-league camp.
The former Pittsburgh reliever posted a 6.14 ERA this spring over 7 1/3 innings.

(3/14/13) Orioles reliever Daniel McCutchen is experimenting with a new delivery, according to MLB.com. Coaches told McCutchen they would like to see him lower his arm slot. McCutchen tested the new delivery during an intrasquad game. While he struggled in his first outing, hitting a batter, walking a batter and tossing a wild pitch, McCutchen is encouraged by the change. McCutchen spent most of last season with the Pirates' Triple-A club. He was a non-roster invite by the Orioles this spring.

(11/13/12) The Orioles signed reliever Daniel McCutchen to a minor league deal Monday, according to MLBTradeRumors.com. McCutchen faced only two batters for the Pirates in 2012, allowing a walk and a home run, but at Triple-A Indianapolis, he posted a 7-2 record and a 2.98 ERA.
