| Phillippe Aumont battling 'command issues' |

(5/15/13) Phillies reliever Phillippe Aumont might have a 2.45 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 11 innings this season, but it doesn't tell the entire story. Aumont has also issued 10 walks, allowed 11 hits and has a 1.91 WHIP in 13 outings.
"Phillippe right now, he's going to have command issues," pitching coach Rich Dubee said, per MLB.com. "He can dot a couple pitches then miss with a bad one. But he's much improved from where he was at the beginning of last year in Triple-A where walks snowballed against him."

(4/25/13) Phillies reliever Phillippe Aumont had a rough outing Thursday.
Aumont allowed three hits, and was charged with three runs in just 1/3 of an inning. Aumont gave up a pinch-hit, two-run single to Garrett Jones, and left the game with a men on first and third. Chad Durbin then gave up a sac fly to Gaby Sanchez. The run was charged to Aumont, who took the loss.

(4/17/13) Phillies reliever Phillippe Aumont took the loss Thursday in the continuation of Wednesday's suspended game against the Reds, allowing two hits and a walk once the game resumed in the ninth inning without recording an out. Another runner also reached base on a fielding error.
Once play resumed, it took just nine minutes for the Reds to secure the win.

(3/30/13) Phillies right-handed pitcher Phillippe Aumont has won the final spot in the team's opening day bullpen. He allowed two earned runs in 7 1/3 innings this spring, striking out six batters and walking three.
Acquired as part of the trade that sent Cliff Lee to the Mariners in 2009, Aumont made his major-league debut in 2012, posting a 3.68 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings.

| Phillippe Aumont has been one of baseball's top pitching prospects for a few years -- he was the centerpiece of the deal that sent Cliff Lee to the Mariners in 2009 -- but has fallen off in terms of potential and production. After five seasons in the minors, Aumont has a 4.22 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. In an 18-game stint with the Phillies last year -- his first taste of the majors -- Aumont, 24, sported a 3.68 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, striking out 14 in 14 2/3 innings. While he has a chance to make Philadelphia's generally unsettled bullpen, it's more likely that Aumont is sent back to Triple-A to start the season, rendering him without value in Fantasy formats.
