Carpenter off to minors: The Houston Astros optioned relief pitcher David Carpenter to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday in order to clear a roster spot for starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, the team announced. Lyles was scheduled to make his second start of the season Tuesday at Philadelphia. (Updated 05/15/2012)
