| Marlins send down Jones to start |
| (5/9/10) The Marlins sent left-handed pitcher Hunter Jones to Triple-A New Orleans on Sunday after their game with Washington. Jones, who did not allow a hit or a run in 1 2/3 innings in three appearances, was sent down so he could start, Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez said. Florida will reactivate left-handed pitcher Dan L. Meyer on Monday for their series in Chicago. Meyer, who was placed on the 15-day DL on Apr. 26 with a strained left calf, is 0-1 with a 16.20 ERA in six games. |
