Red Sox re-sign Miguel Celestino, Matt Spring to minor-league deals

(12/21/13) The Red Sox have re-signed pitcher Miguel Celestino and catcher Matt Spring to minor-league deals, Baseball America reports.

Celestino went 1-9 with a 6.12 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 70:36 K:BB ratio in 72 innings with Double-A Portland last season in his first exposure to that level. Spring hit .222/.268/.449 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI in 185 at-bats with Portland.
