Over his last 18 games since April 12, Hunter has gone 3-0 with a save and a 0.95 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. He has five walks and 21 strikeouts over that span. 

"They explained it to me: in one I was driving a not-so-cool car, and one of them I was driving a really cool car, they're both going to get you to the ending line, but it's just a matter of what kind of style you're riding in," Hunter said. "I don't know, one's grainy, one's not grainy."

Hunter fielded Jose Bautista's comebacker with his bare hand Sunday to record an out. 

Hunter said before Monday's win over the Nationals that he was fine, but the Orioles sent him for another X-ray. He may be available out of the bullpen Tuesday, as he did not pitch in Monday's game. 

"There's different levels of X-rays. We're at level two," Showalter said. "Richie (Bancells) said he felt pretty good, all things considered, so I'm hoping we dodged an injury. Not necessarily the ball. Richie's pretty upbeat about what he was hoping he would see today, compared to yesterday. He got ice and some anti-inflammatory stuff that they put right on it yesterday."

Showalter wasn't too excited with Hunter's play, despite the reliever recording the out in a big spot for the Orioles. 

"I told him, 'You know, (Alexi) Casilla was playing up the middle there. He had that ball,'" Showalter said. "He said, 'You just react.' He's a little bruised there. I'm hoping it's just a bruise. We'll see."

Hunter says he has "a little itty bitty bruise" on his right hand which he'll test playing catch Monday. He said he's likely going to be available for the Orioles.
