Fantasy Analysis
Tejada has been cleared of having a concussion and is in Florida slightly ramping up his rehab work as of Monday. Once the rehab games begin, Tejada will really be on his way back. Keep an eye on his status moving forward. Tejada is hitting 305 this season and can be considered a quality option in NL-only and deeper mixed formats when healthy. (Updated 05/21/2012).

05/06/2012 15:57 Mets ride Dickey to victory over D-Backs
R.A. Dickey baffled the Diamondbacks with his knuckleball, pitching shutout ball into the ninth inning to lead the New York Mets over Arizona 3-1 on Sunday.
When Jose Reyes signed with the Marlins in the offseason, the Mets lost one of the rarest commodities in the game: a franchise shortstop. But all along, they said they'd be comfortable with his departure given the emergence of Ruben Tejada, a slick-fielding slap hitter who started 91 games as an injury fill-in last season, splitting his time between shortstop and second base. On the one hand, Fantasy owners should already know what to expect from Tejada given his exposure to the majors last season -- a solid on-base percentage with minimal speed and zero power. But on the other hand, he only turned 22 in the offseason. He's hardly a finished product offensively, and if he can develop even gap power to go along with that impressive batting eye, he could be a difference-maker in Fantasy. That said, he's not Starlin Castro or anything, so as sleepers go, he's on the lower end. But if you're short a middle infielder in the late rounds of your draft, Tejada is worth a flier given his expected role. (Updated 1/11/12)
