Fantasy Analysis
At age 24, Brown has lost some of the luster on his status as a top prospect and owns just a .240 batting average with Lehigh Valley. Projected to be an annual 20/20 threat, he has yet to homer in 27 games this season as his power has seemingly dropped while he's advanced at the minor-league level. He still holds some upside and if he can get back to full strength, he is worth reserving in long-term Fantasy keeper leagues. (Updated 05/21/2012).
03/16/2012 22:20 Friday's injury roundup: Derek Jeter out until at least Tuesday
Last season Derek Jeter was sidelined by a right calf injury and on Friday he was scratched from the team's exhibition due to a left calf injury. The team's being cautious with his return. The Cardinals are also monitoring Skip Schumaker, who left Friday's game with a strained right oblique.

Many owners mail in the final few picks of their drafts, but not our Scott White. He shares a list of names you should have on your radar late on Draft Day.
It makes no sense. Fantasy owners have been aching for the Phillies to turn over everyday duty to Domonic Brown for the better part of two seasons now, but apart from a sniff here and a sniff there, the five-category player has had to remain in the minors. Now, the door is open for him. Raul Ibanez's contract is up. Ryan Howard's ankle is hurt. The Phillies have a glaring need on offense. And yet general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. wants to keep Brown's bat in the minors still. It's enough to make you think the Phillies just don't like him. Rest assured, though, 29 other organizations do, so one way or another, Brown will have his chance to contribute in 2012. It may come when that Laynce Nix-John Mayberry platoon in left field doesn't pan out. It may come when one of the team's many 30-somethings suffers an injury. It may come when the Phillies can't resist adding another high-priced veteran at the trade deadline. But at some point this year, the future 20-20 man's time will come. Mixed-league owners don't have much incentive to draft Brown, obviously, but he's still a must-have in NL-only and long-term keeper leagues. (Updated 1/25/12)
