(5/1/13) The White Sox have recalled pitcher Brian Omogrosso Wednesday.
Omogrosso tossed 21 innings with the major-league club last season. He had a 2.57 ERA in 2012. Donnie Veal has been optioned to Triple-A to make room for Omogrosso.

Rios, Pierzynski home runs carry ChiSox
Jose Quintana pitched effectively into the eighth inning, Alex Rios and A.J. Pierzynski hit back-to-back homers in the sixth and the Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 6-1 Monday night to increase their AL Central lead to three games.
