(9/27/13) Mets pitcher Carlos Torres tossed a solid outing but was on the wrong end of the decision Friday night against the Brewers. He allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings of a 4-2 defeat.
Torres allowed seven runs over his final 20 innings pitched. He finished the year 4-6 with a 3.44 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP in 86 1/3 innings pitched.

(9/23/13) Carlos Torres was triumphant in his return to the Mets' rotation, as he struck out six batters in six innings in a 4-3 win over the Phillies on Sunday. In six of Torres' eight starts this season, including Sunday's victory, he has racked up at least five strikeouts and nine swinging strikes.
Torres did allow two runs on seven hits and three walks, though for the first time since Aug. 29, he did not allow a home run in a start. It was Torres' first start since Sept. 14. He is now 4-5 with a 3.36 ERA.

(9/14/13) Mets starting pitcher Carlos Torres took the loss Saturday against the Marlins, despite twirling a quality start in a 3-0 loss.
Torres limited the Marlins to just two runs in his six innings of work, but had to settle for the loss due to his offense's struggles. Torres allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out a career-high eight batters. He threw 63 of 111 pitches for strikes.
Despite the solid outing, Torres' record fell to 3-5. He lowered his ERA to 3.48, heading into his next start, which has not yet been scheduled.

(9/9/13) Mets hurler Carlos Torres took the hill at Citi Field Monday night to take on the Washington Nationals. It wasn't a pretty outing for the young starter.
Torres surrendered four home runs to the Nationals, including Denard Span's solo shot to lead off the game, and took the loss to fall to 3-4 on the year. He gave up six runs on five hits and two walks over just four innings in the defeat. Torres struck out four and threw 75 pitches before leaving. His ERA is at 3.53 on the year.
Torres had given up just four runs on 11 hits over his previous two outings spanning 13 2/3 innings. That said, he's given up six homers in his last two starts now and will need to keep the ball in the ballpark going forward. Torres is scheduled to make his next appearance during a doubleheader Saturday against Miami.

(9/3/13) Mets pitcher Carlos Torres ran into trouble late in his outing as he was charged with his third loss of the season Tuesday night against the Braves. The right-hander yielded three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six over seven innings of a 3-1 defeat.
Torres has surrendered four earned runs over his last 13 2/3 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start Monday at home against the Nationals. He has allowed eight runs over five innings pitched against the Nationals this season.
