| Orioles add infielder Cale Iorg |

(4/9/13) The Baltimore Orioles signed former Tigers prospect infielder Cale Iorg Tuesday, reports the Baltimore Sun. Detroit released Iorg, a defensive specialist, last week.
The 27-year-old was signed to a minor-league contract. Iorg is a career .217 hitter in the minors and has never realized his potential.

(4/5/13) After bouncing around the minors for most of his once-promising career, infield prospect Cale Iorg was released by the Tigers. Iorg, who has been on the club's Triple-A roster for parts of the past three years, was involved in Team Canada's brawl with Mexico during the World Baseball Classic, but it's unknown if the release is tied to that incident.
