(4/25/13) The Athletics announced Thursday that infielder Andy Parrino has been optioned to Triple-A Sacremento with Adam Rosales coming off the disabled list. Parrino hit .125/.192/.167 in 26 plate appearances with the A's.

(11/16/12) The A's and Padres announced a four-player trade on Friday, with Oakland sending pitcher Tyson Ross and first baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones to San Diego for middle infielder Andy Parrino and pitcher Andrew Werner. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Parrino could wind up competing for the starting job at shortstop. Parrino hit .207 with a home run and a steal in 116 at bats in 2012.

Josh Donaldson hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the sixth inning, Yoenis Cespedes also went deep and A.J. Griffin pitched eight solid innings Thursday night, leading Oakland to an 8-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels and extending the Athletics' winning streak to eight games.
