| Quintin Berry staying focused at Triple-A |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (4/10/13) Tigers outfielder Quintin Berry said he's staying focused at Triple-A Toledo by being "ready" for a potential recall at any time, according to MLive.com. Berry was demoted to the minors at the end of spring training.
"If anything happens, I think everybody knows defensively I can play all three positions pretty well," he said. "You can always get better. You can always get more consistent hitting and stuff like that, but other than that just be ready. That's all I can do. Just continue to stay healthy, stay ready, stay positive and show that you want to play."

| Quintin Berry made a good impression in Grapefruit League play with the Tigers last spring, and his strong performance paid off in the form of his first big league callup in May. He kept up his hot-hitting ways through the end of June, batting .306, while getting on base at a .391 clip and stealing 12 bases. Berry's penchant for strikeouts caught up with him from July forward, as he hit .224 the rest of the way. His lackluster finish won't help his chances of squeezing into a crowded outfield situation, and even a good spring may not guarantee Berry a roster spot. Even if he does break camp with the Tigers, Berry will likely see scant playing time as a reserve, but his potential for steals -- even in a part-time role -- makes him worthy of targeting in AL-only leagues.
