Diamondbacks starter Jeremy Hellickson rocked again

|(5/13/15) The 2015 season got no better for Diamondbacks right-hander Jeremy Hellickson on Wednesday. And it was bad enough heading into his start against Washington.
Hellickson gave up four runs on four hits with four walks in 5 1/3 innings, but was spared a loss by his offense and came away with a no-decision.
"I think he pitched better," manager Chip Hale said, per the Arizona Republic. "It was definitely an improvement."
The long ball hurt Hellickson, who yielded a three-run homer to Jayson Werth in the third inning and two-run job to Tyler Moore in the sixth. His ERA now sits at 5.92.
Hellickson, who is scheduled to start next Tuesday against Miami, has one quality start in six outings this year.
Diamondbacks' Hale: Hellickson still in rotation 'right now'
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(5/10/15) Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Saturday that struggling pitcher Jeremy Hellickson would remain in the rotation "right now," the Arizona Republic reports.
"We're talking about what's going to make him better," Hale said.
Hellickson, who has delivered just one quality start in six tries, owns a 5.85 ERA and 25:11 K:BB ratio in 32 1/3 innings.

Hellickson (1-3) has failed to pitch more than five innings in three of his six starts this season. His next expected start is Wednesday against the Nationals.
Diamondbacks pitcher Jeremy Hellickson strikes out six in ND

|(5/3/15) Diamondbacks pitcher Jeremy Hellickson allowed three runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings of work in Arizona's 6-4 loss to the Dodgers Saturday.
Hellickson was tagged early for a solo homer in the first by Justin Turner. Then, Adrian Gonzalez ripped an RBI double to bring home another run. Then in the third, Scott Van Slyke ripped an RBI single.
Hellickson, who also added six strikeouts and just one walk to his totals, remains 1-3 with a 5.20 ERA in 27 2/3 innings. He will look to get back on track Thursday against the Padres.
|2014 summary: Jeremy Hellickson's season didn't get started until July, as he spent the first three months recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow. When he finally joined the Rays' rotation, Hellickson didn't often pitch deep into games, but he performed well initially. He had a 2.61 ERA through his first seven starts, but the one-time American League Rookie of the Year saw his season turn sour, as he posted a 7.36 ERA over his final six starts. Despite receiving nearly five runs of support per nine innings, Hellickson finished with a 1-5 record. He will look to rebound with the Diamondbacks, who acquired him in a November trade.|
Playing time status: Efficiency hasn't been Hellickson's strong suit in recent seasons, but he should get steady starts as a member of the Diamondbacks' rotation.
2015 outlook: Hellickson's flyball-leaning ways will probably serve him less well in Arizona than they did in Tampa Bay, and that's not good news for a pitcher whose ERA has been above 4.50 in each of the last two seasons. He can be ignored in standard mixed leagues, but he's not a bad gamble late in deeper mixed leagues.
