|Neftali Feliz shifted to DL|
|by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com|
(3/24/13) Rangers pitcher Neftali Feliz (elbow) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Sunday in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. Feliz, who advanced to throwing from 60 feet in his rehab from Tommy John surgery last month, is expected to return in August.
|It was all rainbows and sunshine for Neftali Feliz in 2012... until mid-May, when he went on the DL with a UCL sprain in his right elbow. Expected to be sidelined until the All-Star Break, Feliz had a series of rehab starts before it was decided, in late July, that he would have Tommy John surgery to fix a UCL tear. Feliz won't be back for the Rangers until late in the season, and will likely return as a reliever for 2013, further diminishing his value. He can be snagged as a cheap keeper pick late in AL-only drafts, but shouldn't be drafted in any other formats. (Updated 1/8/13)|
