Todd Frazier homers, draws three walks Saturday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9/27/14) Reds third baseman Todd Frazier went 1 for 2 with three walks and a two-run home run in his team's 10-6 win over the Pirates Saturday.

Frazier watched his team fall behind 6-4 after the Pirates scored twice in the top of the seventh, but he evened the game with his blast in the bottom half of the inning before the Reds went on to win in extra innings. Frazier has hit .274/.337/.461 with 29 home runs, 79 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 594 at-bats.

Spate of Reds benched for battle at Wrigley Field

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/17/14) The Reds have issued a lineup for Wednesday against the host Cubs that one might have expected had they just clinched a playoff spot. Among those set to sit are third baseman Todd Frazier, second baseman Brandon Phillips, shortstop Zack Cozart, center fielder Billy Hamilton, right fielder Jay Bruce and catcher Devin Mesoraco.

None are listed as injured.

Todd Frazier knocks 25th home run Saturday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9/6/14) Reds first baseman Todd Frazier went 2 for 3 with a walk and a solo home run in his team's 2-1 win over the Mets Saturday.

Frazier has turned on the fireworks in the current series against the Mets, going 5 for 8 with two home runs in two games. He was just 1 for 13 in his previous three games this month coming into the series. Frazier has hit .278/.340/.461 with 25 home runs, 73 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 532 at-bats.

Todd Frazier seeing more time at first base

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/28/14) Reds infielder Todd Frazier started his third straight game at first base Thursday, as he continues to see more time away from his native third base position.

The reason for the move is not because the team is disappointed with Frazier's defensive play at third base, but rather than utility infielder Kristopher Negron has been too hot to keep out of the lineup recently.

"I haven't really talked to [Price] about it, but with Negron doing so well, why not?" Frazier told MLB.com. "He's a great defender. He's a great utility guy. You want to put the guy in that's hot right now. You have Skip [Schumaker] doing well too."

Frazier has played 27 times at first base this season, including 22 starts. The absence of Joey Votto has been the main reason he has seen more time at first, after appearing there in no games a year ago.

Todd Frazier smacks 22nd home run Sunday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8/24/14) Reds third baseman Todd Frazier went 2 for 4 with a solo home run in his team's 5-3 win over the Braves Sunday.

Frazier was just 1 for 14 over his previous four games before Sunday's multhit performance, in which he also scored two runs. The third baseman owns a .279/.343/.460 line with 22 home runs, 67 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 487 at-bats.
