Fantasy Analysis
Fraziers power has translated at the major-league level this season, as he is slugging .547 in 64 at bats; however at has come at a cost, as he has struck out 20 times already. He has shown a very all-or-nothing approach at the plate this season, batting .250, and should be considered just an NL-only Fantasy option. (Updated 05/23/2012).

If you feel like you've been seeing Todd Frazier on top prospect lists since the first time you logged on to the Internet, you're not alone. The 2007 draft pick made his presence known that same year when he hit .319 with a .943 OPS in the lower levels of the minors. Unfortunately, it's been all downhill since then. Though he has familiarized himself with just about every position on the diamond over the last four years, he hasn't made much progress as a hitter, failing to refine a free-swinging approach that has caused him to hit .259 over the last two minor-league seasons. Sensing that he was running out of time to make an impression at age 25, the Reds finally promoted him to the majors in 2011, giving him a split role with Juan Francisco after Scott Rolen went down with a shoulder injury. Frazier has above-average pop, and his versatility could make him surprisingly useful in deeper Fantasy leagues. But his so-so upside and projected utility role all but ruins his long-term appeal.
