|Phillies heading to arbitration with four |

(12/2/13) The Phillies offered contracts to four arbitration-eligible players Monday, ahead of midnight deadline. Pitchers Kyle Kendrick and Antonio Bastardo were tendered contracts, along with outfielders Ben Revere and John Mayberry Jr.
The team still has a chance to avoid arbitration with all four players, by negotiating contracts for 2014 prior to the Jan. 17 deadline. Otherwise, they will exchange salary figures at arbitration hearings in February.

(9/26/13) Phillies outfielder Ben Revere is slated to take part in some instructional league games soon, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Revere has not played since July 13 due to an ankle injury. Revere has been participating in simulated games in Clearwater. He hit .305/.338/.352 in 315 at-bats.

(9/7/13) Phillies outfielder Ben Revere and Ryan Howard, who are out for the remainder of the season, will take part in the Florida Instructional League as they recover from their injuries, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
“We want them to have some games played and a peace of mind and pass the test with everybody, with the organization that they are doing everything on the baseball field to play and game and now they go into their off-season and go about their business and do their normal routines, knowing in the spring they are good to go,” Phillies interim manager Ryne Sandberg told the Inquirer.
Howard is recovering from knee surgery, while Revere is recovering from a broken foot.

(8/20/13) Phillies outfielder Ben Revere is no longer in crutches, according to MLB.com.
Revere is recovering from right ankle surgery in July and is expected to return to the field before the end of the season, assistant general manager Scott Proefrock said. However, the Phillies are taking a cautious approach and may only bring him back to play in the Instructional League.

(8/18/13) Phillies outfielder Ben Revere remains on crutches following ankle surgery in July and said Sunday he has no idea when he might return to the lineup, per MLB.com.
"They just want me to come back 100 percent sure it's healthy," Revere said. "They don't want me to come back if it's still kind of bothering me and bothering me going into spring training. They want me to go into the offseason healthy."
