Rondon designated for assignment: The Indians designated SP Hector Rondon for assignment on Tuesday in order to make room for OF Grady Sizemore on the 40-man roster. Rondon was recovering from Tommy John surgery this fall, pitching in the Venezuelan Winter League, but he underwent another surgery on his right elbow last month. He will be out for six to nine months. "We're hopeful that he'll be able to pitch at some point next year," general manager Chris Antonetti told MLB.com. (Updated 12/06/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Rondon just can't seem to stay healthy, and now the one-time prospect has been bumped off the Indians' 40-man roster. He can be ignored in all drafts, including those for long-term keeper leagues, next spring. (Updated 12/06/2011).
