| Parr outrighted to minor leagues |
| (5/20/10) The Braves outrighted pitcher James R. Parr off the 40-man roster and to the minor leagues Wednesday. |
| Johnson, 11 others cut by Braves |
| (3/16/10) Braves outfielder Cody Johnson was one of the players who didn't survive Atlanta's first round of cuts, according to MLB.com. Johnson, a 21-year-old outfielder who was the Braves first-round selection in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, batted .091 with two runs and four strikeouts in 11 Grapefruit League at-bats. He was among a group of non-roster invitees assigned to minor league camp. Also assigned were pitchers Chris Resop and Erik Cordier, and catchers Braeden Schlehuber and Jesus Sucre. Optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett were pitchers Lee Hyde, Steve Marek, James Parr and Todd Redmond. Optioned to Double-A Mississippi were pitchers Jose Ortegano, Juan Abreu and Kyle Cofield. |

| (5/22/09) The Braves optioned right-handed reliever James Parr to Triple-A Gwinnett and recalled right-hander Manny Acosta, who was 1-3 with a 2.86 ERA at Gwinnett. Acosta was 3-5 with three saves and a 3.57 ERA with Atlanta last season. |

| (4/16/09) Braves reliever Jorge Campillo has been put on the DL with right shoulder tendinitis. Campillo gave up two hits and one run in the ninth inning of Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Marlins. He was put on the 15-day DL after the game. Campillo (1-0) has a 5.40 ERA and one blown save in four games. He made two starts for Mexico in the World Baseball Classic, and Braves manager Bobby Cox said the reliever hasn't been the same since then. Right-hander James R. Parr will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett in time for Friday's game at Pittsburgh. Parr was 1-0 with a 4.84 ERA in five starts for Atlanta last season. |
