Wells homers, drives in three: Seattle outfielder Casper Wells had a big offensive game on Sunday in New York. Wells homered for the first time this season in the sixth inning off Andy Pettitte for a two-run blast as the Mariners beat the Yankees on Sunday. Wells went 2 for 4 in the game with three RBI. He added a walk for the Mariners and is batting .242 on the season. (Updated 05/13/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Wells is not an everyday player for the Mariners. He's seen just 33 at-bats on the year over 17 games and has just four RBI for Seattle. Until he sees more time, he has just low-end Fantasy value even in AL-only leagues. (Updated 05/13/2012).
05/23/2012 00:50 Andrus' two-run 3B puts Rangers on top
Elvis Andrus lined a two-strike pitch into the left-center field gap for a two-run triple, Josh Hamilton made two tremendous catches in center field and added an RBI double, and the Texas Rangers snapped Seattle's win streak at four with a 3-1 win over the Mariners on Tuesday night.

Trevor Plouffe hit a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to lift the Minnesota Twins to a 5-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
05/19/2012 19:10 Vargas, Mariners top slumping Rockies
Jason Vargas threw seven strong innings, Kyle Seager homered and drove in three runs, and the Seattle Mariners beat the free-falling Colorado Rockies 10-3 on Saturday.
05/13/2012 16:32 Mariners spoil Pettitte's return for Yanks
Andy Pettitte made his much-anticipated return to the Yankees on Sunday, getting lavished with adoration while pitching into the seventh inning despite giving up a pair of two-run homers in New York's 6-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Casper Wells enjoyed a change of scenery in 2011 and saw his numbers explode with more playing time. After hitting four homers with 12 RBI in 125 at-bats with the Tigers, he was traded to Seattle in the Doug Fister deal and hit six home runs with 14 RBI in his first 54 at-bats with Seattle. His numbers fell off a bit after that, batting .083 over his final 16 games, and he did not play much in September due to an equilibrium problem. He has shown in the minors that he can hit for average with some decent pop and could do some damage if he were to see a full season of at-bats. He will fight for a starting job during spring training but it looks as though the 27-year-old will be the fourth outfielder in Seattle in 2012. That being the case, target Wells in AL-only formats on Draft Day. (Updated 2/13/12)
