|Report: Samuel Deduno most likely Monday starter for Twins |
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(6/26/14) Twins right-hander Samuel Deduno, who has just one appearance out of the bullpen since being placed there, is the likely starter when his team opens a series against Kansas City on Monday, according to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press.
Deduno would take the spot previously held by Johan Pino, who was demoted after getting pounded Wednesday by the Angels.

(6/17/14) The Twins announced Tuesday pitcher Samuel Deduno has been removed from the rotation and shifted to the bullpen. Yohan Pino will replace Deduno, who was 2-4 with a 6.52 ERA in eight starts, in the rotation.
"I'm disappointed. I wanted the ball again," Deduno said. "I'll go to the bullpen and do my job. I'll keep my head up. I'm happy to be here."

|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(6/14/14) Twins pitcher Samuel Deduno couldn't make it out of the third inning in Saturday's loss, giving up seven earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings while striking out three in his team's 12-9 defeat against the Tigers.
Deduno (2-5) saw five runs score in the third inning before he was able to record back-to-back outs, but after two more runners reached, the Twins pulled him in favor of a reliever, who allowed both inherited runners to score. The ugly outing gives Deduno a 5.34 ERA and 41:28 K:BB ratio in 57 1/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the White Sox Thursday.

(6/3/14) Twins pitcher Samuel Deduno picked up his second win Tuesday, giving up two earned runs on six hits and four walks in five innings while striking out two in his team's 6-4 win over the Brewers.
While it looked like the Brewers offense was poised to break through against Deduno (2-3) all game, they were only able to manage a run on a first-inning fielder's choice and a fourth inning single. He owns a 3.83 ERA and 37:22 K:BB ratio in 51 1/3 innings. Deduno is scheduled to take on the Astros Sunday.
