Gomez sidelined for Rockies : Colorado placed infielder Hector Gomez on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday as he's been dealing with a groin strain. The move is retroactive to march 26. Gomez sustained the injury in early March running out of the batter's box. (Updated 04/05/2012)
