Viciedo stays hot for Sox : White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo continues to produce. He went 2 for 5 with a two-run homer in the third inning off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster. He finished the day with three RBI, helping his team get the 7-4 win. Viciedo wasn't supposed to start any of the three games at Wrigley Field as manager Robin Ventura planned to play Adam Dunn in left field without the DH in a National League park. But when Paul Konerko had to leave Friday's game in the third inning, Dunn moved to first and Viciedo took over in his familiar left field spot while batting in Konerko's cleanup slot. Fantasy Analysis
Viciedo has gone 11 for 23 (.478) with four home runs and 10 RBI over his last six games. He's picked up his production for the Sox after he had just three homers and four RBI in April. Viciedo is batting for a higher average and has found his power stroke. He's currently one of the most added players in CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues. Owners should consider adding Viciedo in deeper formats as his stock is rising. He should be viewed as a solid option in deeper leagues, especially while he's this hot. (Updated 05/19/2012).

05/18/2012 18:06 Viciedo is being added at a higher rate
White Sox outfielder Dayan Vicidedo is one of the most viewed players on CBSSports.com. The Fantasy Baseball 360 crew has all the analysis.
With Adam Dunn, Alex Rios, Gordon Beckham and Juan Pierre all struggling, the White Sox were dying for offense midway through 2011 and had a potential impact bat in Dayan Viciedo waiting in the wings. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything about it because they didn't have an opening in their lineup. Thus, they made a point to create one by letting Pierre walk in the offseason and just for good measure, they then traded Carlos Quentin to the Padres, ensuring that Viciedo will be an integral part of the team's lineup in 2012. So now that the 23-year-old Cuban defector has the job, will he make the most of it? He didn't exactly sizzle when he finally got the call last year, hitting .255 with one homer in 102 at-bats, but he hit .308 with five homers during a 104-at-bat trial in 2010. His power isn't in question -- he's coming off back-to-back 20-homer seasons in the minors -- so as long as he can overcome a questionable approach at the plate, his natural hitting ability should shine. Of course, he plays a relatively deep position and could endure some growing pains with the batting average. Still, if you're looking for a high-upside player in the late rounds, his job security makes him a great option. (Updated 2/13/12)
