| Nats bring Rule-5 pick off DL |
| (5/13/09) The Washington Nationals activated pitcher Terrell Young (right shoulder inflammation) from the 15-day DL and offered him back to the Reds, who have to pay half of his claiming price back. |
| Young resumes throwing program |
| (4/13/09) From the The Sports Xchange: RHP Terrell Young, the top pick in December's Rule 5 draft, remains at extended spring training in Viera, Fla., working his way back from right shoulder inflammation. Young has only recently resumed a throwing program, and Nationals acting GM Mike Rizzo said his return is weeks, not days away. Once the reliever is healthy, the Nationals will need to decide what to do with him. As a Rule 5 pick, Young must either be added to the 25-man roster or be offered back to the Reds, unless the two teams can strike a deal. |
