(5/21/13) Angels outfielder Scott Cousins has been optioned to Triple-A.
Cousins was designated for assignment Saturday, and will be assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake. He played in seven games with the Angels, but only received four at-bats. Cousins is hitting .241/.298/.287 in 95 at-bats.

Cousins was demoted to make room in the bullpen for Robert Coello. Cousins had a .224 average for the Salt Lake Bees before his recall.

(4/30/13) The Angels purchased the contract of Scott Cousins from Triple-A Salt Lake Tuesday to add depth to their ailing outfield. Cousins, who will be making his debut with Los Angeles after three seasons with the Marlins, was designated for assignment earlier this month before settling in Salt Lake.
