(8/13/12) San Francisco reliever George Kontos blew his first save of the season Sunday afternoon against the Rockies. Kontos relieved Barry Zito in the sixth inning with a one-run lead as he surrendered two runs and three hits to escape out of the inning. He was just credited with one of those two runs and struck out two in just two-thirds of an inning in a 9-6 comeback victory.

Brandon Belt hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning and the San Francisco Giants rallied against Arizona's bullpen for the third straight game, beating the Diamondbacks 9-6 Wednesday night to complete a three-game sweep.
