Beckham banned 50 games: Tampa Bay shortstop prospect Tim Beckham was suspended 50 games following his second violation of the minor-league drug policy, the league announced Tuesday. Beckham, the top overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft, is currently playing for Triple-A Durham. "We are very disappointed by Tim's actions," Rays vice president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said.
