Fantasy Analysis
Cowgill will get another shot with the A's after seeing just four at-bats during his run with the club earlier in the season. While he may see a few starts, Cowgill is not worth owning in the majority of formats at this time. (Updated 05/11/2012).

05/12/2012 23:00 McCarthy fans 10, sparks A's over Tigers
Brandon McCarthy matched a career high with 10 strikeouts after missing his last start with a sore right shoulder, leading the Oakland Athletics past the Detroit Tigers 3-1 on Saturday night.
Collin Cowgill got his first shot at the majors last season but did not show the same kind of hitting prowess as he did in the minors. He batted .354 with 13 home runs, 70 RBI with 30 stolen bases before being called up in late July. But in 92 at-bats with the Diamondbacks, he hit just .239 with one homer and nine RBI. The 25-year-old was traded to the A's in the offseason and is expected to compete for the fifth-outfield spot. A move to Oakland's spacious ballpark will not help his power and he will really have to prove something off the bench to earn some playing time. Given his role heading into 2012, you can leave Cowgill on the draft board. (Updated 2/1/12)
