|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(6/14/15) The Angels recalled outfielder Daniel Robertson from the minor leagues Sunday, reports the Orange County Register.
Robertson can play all three outfield positions and he will replace designated hitter C.J. Cron, who was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday.
"C.J. didn't get as many looks as we hoped," manager Mike Scioscia said. "We didn't see many at-bats for him, especially playing two games in the National League this Wednesday and Thursday [in Arizona]."

Dan Robertson to wear facemask another couple weeks
|by Larry Hartstein | Senior Analyst|
|(6/17/14) Rangers outfielder Dan Robertson will wear a clear plastic mask on defense and a special batting helmet when he hits for another couple weeks, reports MLB.com. He sustained three small fractures in his left cheek bone when he collided with outfielder Alex Rios on May 22 in Detroit.
"I'm a couple of weeks away from not having to wear any protection," Robertson said. "I've worn it so much, I really don't notice it. It just protects me if I do something wild and crazy, like running into a wall or trying to make a diving catch."
Robertson batted leadoff Monday and went 2 for 6 with a run scored. He could hit leadoff again Tuesday, according to the website. "He takes pitches, doesn't swing much out of the strike zone and makes solid contact," manager Ron Washington said.
After fitting for mask, Dan Robertson available off bench
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(5/28/14) Rangers outfielder Dan Robertson was not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, but he should be available to play moving forward. He was fitted for a protective mask and should be able to play through a facial fracture with it.
"I'm sweating a little bit," Robertson told MLB.com . "Maybe I'll grow some facial hair and help absorb the sweat. It's fine. It's weird wearing it and frustrating wearing it but there are no limitations. If sweat is most of my problems, that's fine. For the next four to six weeks, I have to make it work."
Robertson will have to gain a comfort level with the mask, as well as a specially fitted batting helmet, before he is back in the starting lineup. He is available off the bench.
