Twins make some moves: Minnesota outrighted catcher Rene Rivera, infielder Matt Tolbert, outfielder Jason Repko and pitcher Anthony Slama to Triple-A Rochester on Friday. Slama made just two relief appearances with the Twins, tossing 2 1/3 scoreless innings. The 27-year-old, who saw his season end in early July with a strained muscle in his right elbow, posted a 2.92 ERA with 42 strikeouts and 16 walks in 37 innings with Triple-A Rochester. Fantasy Analysis
Slama is rehabbing his elbow and will likely be back full strength for spring training. Fantasy owners should monitor his status moving forward, but unless he somehow becomes the closer he's not worth drafting in Fantasy leagues in 2012. (Updated 10/14/2011).
