Fantasy Analysis
About the only thing keeping Martin in the picture as a pitching prospect is the fact he is striking out 9.6 batter per nine innings in his minor-league career. Because his 5.61 ERA and 1.67 WHIP are nothing to write home about. Martin is a great athlete that has a fastball that can get up in the high 90s. But his command is a huge flaw and he needs work on his mechanics. Martin still appears light years away from the majors, so he is nothing more than a long-term Fantasy keeper and starting to shape up as a risky one. (Updated 06/09/2011).
