Casey Kelly won't ramp up throwing program until 2015
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9/9/14) Padres pitcher Casey Kelly won't significantly ramp up his throwing program until the beginning of next year, U-T San Diego reports.

"He just ran out of season," manager Bud Black said Tuesday. "Where he is now as far as stamina, how he feels, it doesn’t make sense to send him to instructional league or have him throw winter ball. I think, medically, everybody’s saying, 'Let’s keep him rehabbing, let’s get him as strong as possible and … get him ready for spring training.'"

Kelly began playing catch about a month ago in Arizona, but he won't pitch in a game situation before next spring. He is attempting to return from Tommy John surgery.

Casey Kelly moved to 60-day DL
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(6/23/14) The Padres announced Monday they transferred starting pitcher Casey Kelly (elbow) from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.

Kelly remains on a minor-league rehab assignment. He is 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA in two starts for Double-A San Antonio after going 0-0 with a 4.32 ERA in two starts for Class A Lake Elsinore.

Casey Kelly still weeks away from throwing again
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(6/16/14) Padres pitcher Casey Kelly, who is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, is still a few weeks away from throwing again, MLB.com reports. Kelly reported some soreness after a late-May rehab start. He remains without a timetable for return.
Casey Kelly gets good news after MRI
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(5/30/14) Padres pitcher Casey Kelly received some positive news after an MRI, according to MLB.com.

Kelly is attempting to come back from Tommy John surgery, but hit a snag during his recovery. Kelly experienced some elbow soreness, and was sent for an MRI. The MRI came back clean, but there's no timetable for his return to the mound yet. In two rehab starts at Double-A, Kelly posted a 0.75 ERA.

Casey Kelly likely to skip next rehab start due to soreness
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5/22/14) Padres general manager Josh Byrnes told reporters that pitcher Casey Kelly (elbow) reported some soreness after Monday's rehab start. He will likely skip his next scheduled start to "make sure he's ready to go," U-T San Diego reports. No date has been announced for his next start.
