| Dominguez making easy transition |

(6/28/11) Giants 3B prospect Christopher Dominguez followed up winning Eastern League player of the week honors by stating his case for earning the honor in consecutive weeks with a career-high six RBI on Monday for Double-A Richmond. Dominguez finished the game against Harrisburg 2 for 4 with one homer and one double. "It was great, I was just trying to get good pitches to hit," Dominguez told MLB.com. "I'm still trying to learn the game a bit and get advice from my coaches, and so far, it's been a good experience." Dominguez has now hit safely in seven straight games, and is batting .333 with two homers and 15 RBI in 11 games since his promotion from Class A San Jose. "I guess it seems that way," Dominguez said of the fast transition. "I'm still trying to learn every day and read all the pitchers and get the advice I can from coaches on how they'd go after certain guys in situations. But the transition has been easy because of the guys, they've welcomed me pretty well."
