Chatwood leaves Triple-A game: Rockies minor league starter Tyler Chatwood left his outing for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday night with triceps tightness, reports the Denver Post. This is bad news for Chatwood as he was a candidate to replace Jhoulys Chacin in the rotation after Chacin was sent down Wednesday. (Updated 05/02/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Chatwood gave up two earned runs over 2 1/3 innings before leaving and suffering the loss on Wednesday night at Sacramento. He's gone 0-1 on the year with a 3.48 ERA and could see time in the rotation later in the year. He has low-end Fantasy value for now. (Updated 05/02/2012).

04/12/2012 00:34 Rockies clobber Lincecum, Giants

04/07/2012 22:22 Astros rough up Moyer, Rockies
J.D. Martinez homered and drove in three runs and the Houston Astros, beat 49-year-old Jamie Moyer and the Colorado Rockies 7-3 Saturday night.
Tyler Chatwood's 2011 rookie campaign with the Angels wasn't pretty, as he finished with a 6-11 record, 4.75 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. Improvement in 2012 could be hard to come by, as Chatwood was dealt in the offseason to the Rockies, and now the 22-year-old will be pitching his home games at Coors Field. Chatwood may be well-equipped to handle the challenges of Denver's thin air, as he had strong ground ball tendencies early in his minor league career. However, as Chatwood progressed through the Angels' system, his ability to induce worm-burners grew weaker. While Chatwood still has great long-term potential, he has a long way to go, and he may not even start out the season in the Colorado rotation. He can go undrafted outside of deep NL-only leagues.
