Mitchell reassigned to minors camp: The White Sox optioned outfielders Jared Mitchell and Trayce Thompson to minor-league camp on Monday. Mitchell went 6 for 20 (.300) with one homer and two RBI in 11 games this spring. "I've seen Jared when he was drafted, so I know it's there," manager Robin Ventura told MLB.com. "I even told him it's one of those things I know it's in there, so go down and work and we'll probably be seeing them in the future." (Updated 03/19/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Mitchell batted .222 with nine homers, 58 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 129 games for Class A Winston Salem and has some decent upside at age 23. Keep an eye on his progress down on the farm but since he is likely a year or two away from making an impact in the majors, leave Mitchell for long-term Fantasy formats at this point.
