David Hale will fill Minor's spot Thursday against the Pirates. Minor was removed from his last start Saturday after just one inning with the shoulder issue. He finishes the season with a 4.77 ERA and 120:44 K:BB ratio in 145 1/3 innings.

|(9/20/14) Braves pitcher Mike Minor lasted one inning Saturday due to shoulder discomfort.
Minor walked the first batter he faced, and hit the second. With two men on, he induced a flyout, putting both runners in scoring position. A sac fly brought home one run, but Minor was able to escape the inning without any more damage. The club did not provide an immediate update on Minor's status.
Minor is slated to take on the Pirates in his next start if he's healthy enough to go.

|(9/8/14) Braves pitcher Mike Minor turned in a solid outing, but was not backed by much run support in a tough-luck loss to the Nationals on Monday, dropping to 6-10 on the year. He allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings of a 2-1 defeat.|
Over his last five starts covering 35 innings, Minor has allowed nine earned runs. He owns a 4.58 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP over 23 starts (139 2/3 innings). His next start will come Sunday at Texas.
Mike Minor allows three runs in loss vs. Phillies
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(9/2/14) Braves pitcher Mike Minor took a loss Tuesday, surrendering three earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 7 1/3 innings while striking out five in his team's 4-0 defeat against the Phillies.
Minor (6-9) allowed one home run in the game but still turned in his fifth straight quality start. He's bounced back nicely after enduring a rough patch from mid-July to early August. Minor owns a 4.65 ERA and 116:38 K:BB ratio in 133 2/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Nationals Monday.
|Mike Minor continued to make strides in 2013, turning in his best season as a major-leaguer and showcasing the talent to perhaps be the ace of the Braves' rotation. He won a career-high 13 games while posting a career-best 3.21 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 32 starts. He also set career highs in strikeouts (181) and innings (204 2/3). He may have a hard time repeating those numbers in 2014, if only because he's expected to miss the first couple weeks of the season after having the start of his spring delayed by shoulder soreness. Still, given his pedigree and the fact his breakout actually began in the second half of 2012, you can trust in the talent. Minor might not be considered a Fantasy ace yet, but he's good enough to help anchor the front-end of your rotation and is worth an early-to-mid-round selection.
