Mike Minor roughed up Tuesday
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(7/22/14) Braves pitcher Mike Minor got knocked around by the Marlins Tuesday.

Minor lasted just three innings, giving up six runs on 10 hits. Things could have actually been worse. Minor loaded the bases in the first inning before recording an out, but managed to escape after giving up just one run. After a quiet second inning, things went south. Minor walked the leadoff hitter to open the third, and allowed to straight hits to bring in another run. A ground out and single scored the other two runs during the inning.

Minor actually came out for the fourth, but was replaced after giving up three straight hits to open the inning. A run scored after Minor left the game, but was charged to him.

The loss dropped Minor to 3-6 on the year. He’s set to take on the Padres in his next start.

Mike Minor surrenders four runs in no-decision Tuesday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7/1/14) Braves pitcher Mike Minor didn't factor into the decision Tuesday after giving up four earned runs on nine hits and one walk in just 4 1/3 innings and striking out five in his team's 5-4 win over the Mets.

Minor left the game with the lead, but he wasn't able to complete five innings and managed to throw a whopping 101 pitches before exiting in the fifth. All four runs came on a pair of two-run home runs, one in the second inning and another in the fifth. Minor owns a 4.73 ERA and 70:21 K:BB ratio in 70 1/3 innings. He'll look to turn things around in a rematch with the Mets Monday.

Mike Minor has major problems against Houston
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(6/26/14) Braves left-hander Mike Minor struggled Thursday in Houston. The result was a defeat that lowered his record to 2-5 and raised his ERA to 4.50.

Minor was hanging in there for four innings, but a three-run homer by Matt Dominguez in the fifth pretty much secured defeat. He gave up five runs on seven hits in six innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

His next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Mets.
