(6/8/13) Mariners catcher Jesus Sucre is going on the 15-day disabled list, MLB.com reports. The Mariners have recalled infielder Carlos Triunfel in his place.
Brandon Bentz got the start behind the plate for Seattle Saturday. Sucre has a wrist injury and had not played since Tuesday.

(6/8/13) The Mariners will give rookie Brandon Bantz his first start behind the plate Saturday against the Yankees, MLB.com reports. Jesus Sucre continues to miss time with a wrist injury.
Sucre suffered the injury Tuesday and could return some time over the weekend.

(6/6/13) Mariners catcher Jesus Sucre was out of the starting lineup, as expected, Thursday against the Yankees due to a wrist injury. Sucre suffered the injury Tuesday, and is expected to be out until at least the weekend.

(6/5/13) Mariners catcher Jesus Sucre will miss three to four days with a wrist injury, the Seattle Times reports. Sucre suffered the injury when he was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's game. Kelly Shoppach will likely take the next three or four starts for Seattle as a result.

(6/5/13) Mariners catcher Jesus Sucre may need to go on the disabled list with a hand injury, the Seattle Times reports.
Sucre was hit in the forearm by a pitch in Tuesday's win over the White Sox. X-rays didn't reveal a break but they showed something "possibly more serious than mere bruising on the hand."
The Mariners could call up either top prospect Mike Zunino or less heralded farmhand Brandon Bantz if Sucre needs to go on the disabled list.
