(4/18/13) Cubs pictcher Hisanori Takahashi cleared waivers and will be assigned to Triple-A.
Takahashi was designated for assignment Sunday. The 38-year-old threw three innings with a 6.00 ERA for the major-league club.

(3/31/13) After signing a minor-league deal with the Cubs in the offseason, relief pitcher Hisanori Takahashi secured a spot in the bullpen for opening day. Takahashi could also serve as a long reliever as he completed three outings this spring of three or more innings while posting a 4.42 ERA.

(12/27/12) The Cubs have signed reliever Hisanori Takahashi to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training, according to Yahoo.com. Takahashi appeared in 51 games and went 0-3 with a 5.54 ERA in 2012.
