| Another road block in Matt Reynolds' way |
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com (5/8/13) Diamondbacks reliever Matt Reynolds has yet to allow a run this season and has been called on for two saves, but the team does not appear to be turning his way with J.J. Putz on the disabled list. Heath Bell looks likely to get the call in the ninth inning moving forward.
Reynolds has been added in plenty of leagues for speculative purposes, but it looks like the team is not yet ready to begin a relative youth movement in the ninth inning. Despite Bell's struggles over the last two seasons, he does carry an All-Star pedigree and big paycheck that is easier to justify in the ninth inning.
Reynolds and fellow reliever David Hernandez both look to have brighter futures than Bell, but he team's emphasis on experience makes at least a little sense. I would not give up on the idea that either Reynolds or Hernandez can make a big impact for Fantasy owners down the line, but I would also not make the decision to add either right now. Keep an eye on Bell's next few outings to see how he handles being thrust into a high-pressure role again, and be ready to pounce if the Diamondbacks sour on him.

| Keep an eye on Matt Reynolds -- again |
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com (5/1/13) Matt Reynolds and David Hernandez ended Tuesday night as two of the five most-viewed players in CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues. That's because Diamondbacks' closer J.J. Putz's struggles to close games continued, as he blew his major-league leading fourth save.
Reynolds was called on to bail Putz out, and it will be interesting to see if the team opts to turn to him instead of Putz moving forward. Reynolds has yet to allow a run in 13 innings, and he has two savesin two chances.
Fantasy owners who are fishing for saves on the waiver wire will definitely want to keep an eye on the Diamondbacks' ninth-inning situation in the next few days to see if the team chooses to make a change. If Reynolds ultimately gets the call for saves, he would be worth snagging in many Fantasy formats.

| Matt Reynolds needed for save again |
by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (4/24/13) After earning the save during extra innings the night before, Matt Reynolds was called upon for a save opportunity again by the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's series finale against the Giants.
The left-hander entered in the 10th inning with a one-run lead and worked his way around a two-out double to make it through the frame unscathed. He also struck out one in a 3-2 win.

| Matt Reynolds earns first career save |
by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (4/24/13) Diamondbacks reliever Matt Reynolds picked up the first save of his career on Tuesday night against the Giants. He entered in the 11th inning with a two-run lead and gave up a leadoff single. The left-hander was able to erase the runner with a double-play ball, however, and made it though the frame scoreless to secure a 6-4 win.
Reynolds has yet to allow a run through nine appearances.

| Kirk Gibson outlines roles for lefty relievers |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (4/4/13) The Diamondbacks debuted both of their new left-handed relievers -- Matt Reynolds and Tony Sipp -- during Wednesday's game against the Cardinals. Manager Kirk Gibson said the arraignment early in the season could be for Reynolds to pitch multiple innings and Sipp to hold the role as lefty specialist, according to The Arizona Republic.
"Over the course of the year, maybe Reynolds would throw more extended periods," Gibson said. "He’d be a guy we’d not hesitate to stretch out to two innings. Sipp maybe not as much. That’s the way I see it now. It could change."
