(1/13/14) Diamondbacks pitcher Matt Reynolds threw Monday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in September, the team announced.
If Reynolds doesn't suffer any setbacks with his recovery, it's possible he could pitch with Arizona late in the 2014 season. However, the team will likely take it slow with his elbow and hope to have him ready to go by spring training 2015.

(9/14/13) Diamondbacks reliever Matt Reynolds may be facing Tommy John surgery, according to MLB.com on Saturday. Reynolds felt renewed pain in his left elbow during a throwing session Thursday. He has been sidelined since June 10.
"I was just throwing and I started to get some elbow pain," Reynolds said. "It was sharper than before, so I shut it down. Everything was going good before, I was almost done and I felt like I was throwing the ball well, too. It's a tough pill to swallow. Bad time to have a setback."
