| Chad Jenkins the front-runner to start Friday |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (5/20/13) Blue Jays manager John Gibbons wouldn't commit to a starting pitcher for Friday against the Orioles, but he said Monday Chad Jenkins is the front-runner to start, according to the Toronto Star. Jenkins was expected to start Monday against the Rays, but the team had to reshuffle its rotation following Sunday's rainout.

| Chad Jenkins getting skipped |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (5/19/13) Blue Jays starter Chad Jenkins, who was expected to start Monday against Tampa Bay, will now be skipped in the rotation, TSN reports.
Manager John Gibbons will push R.A. Dickey back to Monday and keep Ramon Ortiz and Mark Buehrle on turn Tuesday and Wednesday.
Jenkins impressed during his first turn in the rotation. He earned a win over five innings at Boston. He allowed two runs on seven hits with two strikeouts. There is no word when he's next scheduled to take the mound, though he could be used in relief.

| Blue Jays go with Chad Jenkins, Ramon Ortiz |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (5/18/13) The Blue Jays officially have announced Chad Jenkins will start Monday against Tampa Bay. Veteran Ramon Ortiz will follow him to the hill Tuesday against the Rays, MLB.com reports.
The decision previously was put on hold due to the possibility that one or both of those pitchers could have been needed in the bullpen.
"We're good, we're fresh down there," manager John Gibbons said of his bullpen. "[Jenkins] was in case something happened to Buehrle really early or something."

| Chad Jenkins impressing in rotation |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (5/15/13) The Toronto rotation has seen injuries to Josh Johnson and J.A. Happ while Ricky Romero continues to pitch inconsistent baseball. Because of that, Chad Jenkins has been able to emerge for manager John Gibbons, MLB.com reported Wednesday.
Jenkins held Boston to just two earned runs Sunday and impressed general manager Alex Anthopoulos in the process. The GM said it was the best he's ever seen Jenkins perform.
The Blue Jays have tabbed Jenkins' next start to come either Monday or Tuesday at home against Tampa Bay. Because that start is a week away, Jenkins was available to pitch out of the bullpen Wednesday.

| Chad Jenkins wins in 2013 debut |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (5/12/13) Blue Jays starting pitcher Chad Jenkins earned his second career win during Sunday's 12-4 victory over the Red Sox. The Blue Jays supported Jenkins (1-0), who was making his 2013 debut, with five home runs.
The right-hander, who threw 58 of 90 pitches for strikes, allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk in five innings. Jenkins allowed a solo home run to Mike Napoli leading off the fourth inning and he struck out two.
If Jenkins remains in the rotation, then his next scheduled start will be Saturday at the Yankees.
