Mier injured at Class A: The Houston Chronicle reports Astros SS prospect Jiovanni Mier was diagnosed with a sprained knee after getting hurt in a collision at second base for Class A Lancaster on Monday, according to Astros director of player development Fred Nelson. Mier is batting just .214 in 26 games for Lancaster since his promotion from low Class A Lexington. Mier's offensive numbers are in the tank for a second straight season, although he still continues to show good gap skills.
