Yankee call up Rob Refsnyder, option Cole Figueroa

(7/11/15) As expected, the Yankees promoted infielder Rob Refsnyder from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, per LoHud.com.

Refsnyder was hitting .290 with seven home runs and 37 RBI at Scranton. 

To make room on the active roster, infielder Cole Figueroa was optioned to Triple-A. He went 2 for 8 with two doubles in his two games with the Yankees. 

To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the Yankees transferred outfielder Mason Williams to the 60-day disabled list. Williams was on the 15-day DL with a shoulder injury. 

Yankees recall Cole Figueroa; option Jose Pirela to Triple-A

(7/9/15) The Yankees recalled infielder Cole Figueroa from Triple-A on Thursday, the team announced. Figueroa hit .233 with six RBI in 43 at-bats last season for the Rays.

To make room for Figueroa, the team optioned infielder Jose Pirela to Triple-A. Pirela was hitting .212 with one home run and four RBI in 66 at-bats this season.

Yankees option Bryan Mitchell, Ramon Flores

(3/29/15) The Yankees optioned pitcher Bryan Mitchell and outfielder Ramon Flores to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Sunday while reassigning eight players to minor-league camp.

Mitchell allowed six earned runs in 7 1/3 innings this spring. Flores hit .206/.270/.412 with two home runs in 34 spring at-bats.

In addition to the options, the Yankees reassigned catchers Francisco Arcia and Kyle Higashioka, infielders Cole Figueroa and Jonathan Galvez, outfielder Slade Heathcott and pitchers Kyle Davies, Jacob Lindgren and Nick Rumbelow to minor-league camp.

Yankees ink six to minor-league deals with spring training invites

(2/5/15) The Yankees signed these players to minor-league contracts with invitations to spring training: pitcher Scott Baker; infielders Cole Figueroa, Nick Noonan and Jonathan Galvez; and catchers Juan Graterol and Eddy Rodriguez, reports The Star-Ledger.

Jose Molina, Cole Figueroa clear waivers, released by Rays

(11/26/14) Catcher Jose Molina and infielder Cole Figueroa cleared waivers and were released by the Rays Wednesday. 

Both Molina and Figueroa were designated for assignment Thursday. Molina, 39, hit .178 over 225 at-bats last year, while Figueroa hit .233 in 43 at-bats.
