|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(4/18/15) Nationals outfielder Tyler Moore took ground balls at third base on Saturday morning and will be an emergency option at that position, in case of injury, the Washington Times reported.

Yunel Escobar, Wilson Ramos, Tyler Moore out of Nationals' lineup
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(4/18/15) Nationals third baseman Yunel Escobar is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies. Escobar was questionable with a groin injury. He's been replaced by Danny Espinosa, who is batting seventh in the lineup.
Manager Matt Williams said Escobar "felt pretty good" Saturday morning. He will receive an MRI.
Infielder Emmanuel Burriss is not in the starting lineup for Washington's Triple-A affiliate, Syracuse, leaving open the possibility that Escobar may be placed on the disabled list later today.
Two other Nationals regulars are out of Saturday's lineup: Catcher Wilson Ramos and left fielder Tyler Moore. Jose Lobaton gets the start at catcher, batting eighth. Clint Robinson is in left, batting fifth.

Robinson, 30, cracked the Opening Day roster for the first time in his career and will receive his second career start. He has just 15 career plate appearances and has never faced Harvey in his career.
Nationals 1B/OF Tyler Moore draws start in LF in season opener
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(4/6/15) Nationals first baseman/outfielder Tyler Moore used a strong performance this spring to secure a spot on the team's roster. Nationals manager Matt Williams then rewarded Moore for his hard work this spring by starting him in left field for Monday's season opener against the Mets.
Moore, who hit eighth, is hitless in three career at-bats against Mets starting pitcher Bartolo Colon. He also has one strikeout.
Nationals' Tyler Moore continues hot streak at the plate Sunday
|by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com|
|(3/15/15) Nationals first baseman Tyler Moore continues to swing a hot bat this spring. Sunday, Moore added a double and a single to his totals, making him 10 for 21 this spring with five doubles and seven RBI.
"I just feel good at the plate. Really just trying to slow the game down," Moore said to MLB.com. "Kind of got a new approach. Not trying to move a whole lot at the plate, not trying to do a whole lot, and just seeing the ball a lot better. It's paying off."
Manager Matt Williams is hoping to get Moore some more at-bats before determining what to do with him before opening day.
"Anytime he gets a number of at-bats this is what he does, he hits," Williams said. "The question has always been the last couple of years, 'How many at-bats can we get him? How much playing time can we get him?'"
