| Michael Schwimmer reinstated, optioned |

(5/10/13) The Blue Jays activated pitcher Michael Schwimmer from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned him to Triple-A Buffalo, the team announced. Schwimmer was acquired from the Phillies during the offseason after going 2-1 with a 4.46 ERA in 35 games for Philadelphia.

(3/31/13) Blue Jays reliever Michael Schwimer was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday due to a strained right shoulder. The move was retroactive to March 22.

(2/23/13) The Phillies traded relief pitcher Michael Schwimer to the Blue Jays on Saturday in exchange for minor-league first baseman Art Charles. Schwimer made 35 appearances for Philadelphia last season and registered a 2-1 record with a 4.46 ERA and 36 strikeouts.
