Preseason Outlook

Downs, a quality veteran lefty, got time as the Blue Jays closer last season before being injured and relinquishing the role to Jason Frasor. Downs didn't get his job back once healthy again, but he could compete for save chances out of spring training this year. We figure Frasor will be the closer of choice at this point, though, so consider Downs merely a viable setup man for deeper leagues that use true middle men or value the hold statistic.
