| Alex Sanabia earns win over Phillies |
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com (5/20/13) Marlins starter Alex Sanabia pitched well Monday and earned a win over Philadelphia.
With the Phillies' offense struggling, Sanabia improved to 3-6 on the year with a 4.56 ERA. He allowed one run on seven hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings.
The only mistake Sanabia made was allowing a solo homer to Domonic Brown in the second inning. He struck out three.
The 24-year-old had lost five straight starts before earning his third win Monday. He'll look to start a winning streak when he next takes the mound Sunday during an interleague series in Chicago.

| Alex Sanabia hoping to avoid Marlins' history |
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com (5/16/13) Unless he can snap a string of five losses in five starts with his next one Monday against the Phillies, Marlins starting pitcher Alex Sanabia is going to match a dubious team mark.
Only one pitcher in Marlins' franchise history has ever dropped six decisions in six starts, and that was then-rookie Brad Hand, from August 2011 through August 2012. Sanabia is the ninth player in team history to lose five starts in a row.
After losing Wednesday to the Reds, Sanabia is 2-6 with a 5.00 ERA on the season.

| Alex Sanabia gets no run support |
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (5/15/13) Marlins starting pitcher Alex Sanabia worked around two hits and two walks in the first inning to allow just one run, but he got zero help from his offense in his team's 4-0 loss to the Reds Wednesday. It was Sanabia's sixth loss.
Sanabia ended up surrendering four earned runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out three. He served up two home runs to Reds outfielder Shin-Soo Choo. Sanabia is 2-6 with a 5.00 ERA after taking losses in each of his last five starts.
He'll try to get back in the win column Monday against the Phillies.

| Marlins move Alex Sanabia back |
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com (5/11/13) Marlins starting pitcher Alex Sanabia, who is dealing with tightness in his right groin, will be pushed back in the rotation to give him extra time to loosen up, according to MLB.com. Sanabia will start Wednesday at home against the Reds, rather than Tuesday.
Sanabia has a 4.85 ERA in seven starts, with 22 strikeouts and 20 walks in 39 innings.

| Marlins might skip Alex Sanabia's next start |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (5/8/13) Marlins manager Mike Redmond said Wednesday the team is considering going to a four-man rotation in order to skip Alex Sanabia, who suffered a groin injury Tuesday against the Padres. However, Redmond said the team hasn't finalized its rotation plans.
Sanabia's next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Reds.
"It was smart that he came out when he did and probably prevented a long-term thing," Redmond said, per The Miami Herald. "As much as we can overcome the position player injuries, the pitching would probably be even more devastating."
