(5/11/13) The Nationals recalled outfielder Eury Perez from Triple-A Syracuse Saturday. He'll replace Jayson Werth on the active roster after Werth was placed on the disabled list.
Perez appeared in 13 games for the Nationals in 2012, mostly as a defensive replacement in the month of September.

(5/10/13) Nationals manager Davey Johnson indicated to reporters after Friday's game that minor-league outfielder Eury Perez will join the Nationals Saturday and will likely replace Jayson Werth on the 25-man roster. Werth is expected to be placed on the disabled list Saturday.
Perez has hit .346/.352/.439 with one home run and seven stolen bases in 108 plate appearances for Triple-A Syracuse this season.
